undeniably a contemporary style icon bringing the sherbert-infused freshman look to the forefront of today's hip hop scene, it wasn't too long before Yeh himself ventured into the world of fashion. not to say that there aren't too many singers slash actors that think that because they have the ends to buy designer threads that they have a superior sense of style, I'm semi-excited to see what Kanye will bring to the table.coined "pastelle", not much has been divulged as to which designer or team of he will be pairing up with, or if he'll even start off with a collection or a line of accessories (usually a safer way to launch a new designer). sure Diddy and Jay Z established Sean John and Rocawear as brands to be recogned with, but one can't deny the fact that Kanye changed the look and sound of hip hop, along with bringing back the and rebellious voice that it once had (much more than the above mentioned). so can we expect him to do the same to the seemingly mundane world of fashion?
the question lingering in my mind is with his music and personal style being so innovative and varied, will his designs be manifestations of the former or the latter??? will it be an uper-echelon style only suited for those already walking with legit LV knapsacks and catamaran windbreakers? perhaps some finely cut blazers, vests, and trenchcoats for the classic look? or how about slapping some enormous Murakami prints on some fitted tees and jeans?
whatever it is, it should be cold as ice and twice as nice. oh, and there's already a website and Wikipedia entry so be on the lookout for something to drop fairly soon.
